AUTHORS INTERVIEW

Your book, "In Silence, Discovering Self though Meditation" gives a step by step method for meditation and visualization to integrate meditation and spirituality into our daily lives.

What inspired you to write the book?
Booth: After my meditations I would write what I heard and these messages always amazed me as the provided the guidance that I needed at that time. I wrote IN SILENCE, so people can learn to tap into their source within for guidance during these seemly chaotic times.

What are the benefits of mediation?
Booth: There are many benefits to meditation. It reduces stress and anxiety and allows us to discover our spiritual connection and to expand and experience this connection. When our bodies relax, we can heal naturally. Most of all, the most exciting part is when we begin to discover the ancient question of "Who am I?"

Why is it important to discover our Self?
Booth: Joseph Campbell and others said "We are spiritual beings having a human experience". Realizing and knowing our soul Self, is knowing who we truly are. From that point, our lives transform into so many wonderful ways. We begin to live in our truth and not from illusions of fear that appear in our lives.

Where do you think your "messages" come from?
Booth: In my book, I mention my guide, Rashna but I feel that these messages come from many universal dimensions and connections.

You talk about meditation helping us to have a change of view or shift. How does this happen?
Booth: When we are calm within, without fear and anxieties, new thoughts and perceptions appear.

I would assume most of us fall short because of the "fear of the unknown". In your book, you say to "embrace the unknown". What are your suggestions for breaking through our fears and going forward?
Booth: The messages in my book give many suggestions for releasing our fear. It really is a matter of integrating various spiritual attributes. In Part 2, A Daily Guide for Meditation and Self-Reflection, I provide daily "actions" and daily "messages" to meditate on. Using these daily messages will lift and transform your life. I show how we can integrate these attributes and developing a new way of living without fear.

You’ve recently had breast cancer. How has meditation assisted you?
Booth: The discovery of an early stage of breast cancer has taught me that I am always loved and protected. I was so blessed that it was found before it spread. I knew that this was part of the healing of my Sacred Heart and provided me with an opportunity to experience unconditional love from my family and soul friends and a great medical staff and natural healers. Instead of being depressed and fearful, I was lifted and supported in my meditations by visions and new thoughts. I realized again that my essence, my soul Self is always well and that my body was healing. My book IN SILENCE took on even greater importance as I realized how meditation assisted me through this time by bringing me comfort and a place for healing. This experience was another wake up call to share my messages –now! I will be sharing more of this experience in my seminars and articles.

Part 4 of your book is about Creative consciousness?
Booth: This is where quantum physics, the law of attraction and our personal creativity come into play. It is the power to create the life we want.

You are a Minister of Spiritual Peacemaking? What does that mean to you?
Booth: My ministry is about assisting myself and others to find deep, inner peace. Everything heals and transform through love and peace. The world needs each of us to find our own inner peace and to share our peace with others. It is very exciting to be a spiritual peacemaker and to connect with Beloveds on this expanding pathway.

Do you really receive messages from plants and animals? How does this happen?
Booth: These messages are the most fun. They come from symbols in nature and from my love of nature. It is all so fascinating and mysterious. The mystery of life is what keeps it so exciting and keeps us wanting to live and experience more of it. Nature reveals to us the mystery and answers to our ever ending questions.

Who is the audience?
Booth: This book is for people who want to make a conscious decision to have inner peace. It assists you with life relationships and to become aware of your role in life and of your own artistry, your creative Self, and allowing it to bloom. It is for people who are willing to change, to take action steps and will allow the universe to show the way.

Any final words you would like the world to know about In Silence, Discovering Self through Meditation?
Booth: I invite you to open your heart and minds to the wondrous experience of meditation. You do not need complicated methods or rituals. My writings and steps are simple because the message I’ve received was to live simply and move with ease. My messages are for all of us who desire peace.
